Today,
high quality filtration must be used to protect building
users from airborne particulate and micro-organisms that
can cause sickness, dizziness and allergic reactions.
Air filters are the first line of defense and must perform
the following functions:
Preventing
micro-organisms from entering the system.
Protecting
building users from re-circulated air that has been
contaminated by micro-organisms that may have grown
in the building or entered through unfiltered openings.
Arresting
particulate from the air, thereby removing a transport
mechanism for smaller micro-organisms and protecting
equipment from damage.
